To turn on the blutooth you first have to turn on your laptop and log into Windows.

Step 1 Locate the array of buttons along the top edge of your keyboard; find the button labeled with a Bluetooth icon. If the Bluetooth button is not illuminated, press it.

Step 2 Turn on the Bluetooth Headsets,  you wish to connect to your Aspire 4520. If the device came packaged with any driver software, insert the CD into your laptop and run the installer program; follow the onscreen instructions.

How to get my bluetooth to work?

Answers:

you need a bluethooth adapter for your computer!
its what ever you make up. Just both devices have to enter the name key.

just use 0000 on both devices and you’ll be fine.

Remember to set one to receive and one to send.
I am using Plantronics S230 bluetooth headphone in windows 7. good thing about windows 7 is that it doesn’t need any additional software like IVT bluesoleil or Toshiba bluetooth stack. But the problem is it is always connected with the pc. if i want to disconnect then i’ve to stop my headset or remove the bluetooth dongol from my pc. Can anybody tell me how to close the service so that the headset remain open and on standby mode and whenever i need, i can connect

By Madhuri Dey
gogglesOCT.25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) EyeClops night vision goggles are the great new toys that every kid would love to play with. Coming from the house of EyeClops, these night vision goggles provide a clear vision in completely dark environments. It is enabled with a capability to allow users to see clearly up to fifty feet in the dark. It provides vision in only one eye. This is the one aspect of the goggles that hasn’t gone down too well with a percentage of the customers. On the other hand, the rest of the users are of the opinion that it is for the better, since a double vision is liable to create confusion. The goggles have a portable microscope attached to the top. It enables the user to zero in on the object viewed and obtain a close up.

The EyeClops Night Vision goggles allow users to view objects in to modes. One is the Maximum Surveillance Mode that enables viewers to see at long ranges, which can extend up to fifty feet. In this mode, the goggles exude a visible arc of red colored light. The other one is the Close Proximity Stealth Mode that helps the user to get a close look. In this mode too, light is emitted but cannot be detected by the naked eye. The goggles also come with to color options, green, black and white.

These goggles also come with a wide range of of attachments. They have comfortable leather straps that can be adjusted according to the requirements of the user. They can also fit in quite snugly over some small glasses. The only glitch is that it operates on six AA batteries

Night Vision Goggles For Your Bike?

Date: 21 Oct 2009 Comments:0

Here’s a great story about Darren Haley who’s just made his own night vision goggles for his
motorbike. Already available in many top end cars this is the first application of night vision goggles used
by motorcyclists

Check it out bellow.

Biker night-vision for £1200 – Visordown.com

Darren Haley with his R1150GS

While night vision technology is already available on some luxury cars, we’ve yet to see manufacturers offer it on a motorcycle. Jumping the queue is 34-year-old Californian, Darren Haley. An employee at the thermal imaging technology firm Flir, Haley has created his own night vision system for his BMW R1150GS.

The system consists of an infrared camera mounted above the bike’s right turn indicator, feeding its video stream to the on-board GPS screen. Haley’s home made system allows the rider to read objects that normally can’t be seen in darkness with the naked eye, and which the BMW’s headlamp fails to reveal.

Though the idea of driving at night while staring a small video screen seems like something that would increase danger, instead of reducing it, Haley says that he uses his night vision system like he would a rear or side-view mirror and that, it “allows you to see the lines of the road without having to look at oncoming cars’ headlights”. Used judiciously, the infrared night vision system could indeed be an invaluable safety feature on bikes, especially when travelling at night in rural regions, where there’s often danger of encountering animals in the road.

Haley has put 9,000 miles on the prototype since installing it on his R1150GS several months ago, but the system is still in the R&D phase. The screen needs to be weatherproofed and the price tag kept under $2,000 USD, he says. But after loaning a few units to other riders in exchange for their feedback, he’s also wishing he’d built more.

“I can easily find people willing to try this,” he says. Who’d have guessed?

Night Vision Googles Will Turn You Into A Pervert

Date: 14 Oct 2009 Comments:0

Infinity Ward  of Modern Warfare 2 fame are offering a pair of night vision googles with a Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2. Now what may  come as surprise is that the British newspaper The Daily Star is claiming that the night vision goggles will be used for perverted nights out. Modern warfare 2 fans apparently are going to become a an army of “stealth dogging” and to spy on gay cruising spots.

Here’s what Spong is saying on his blog

Modern Warfare 2 Goggles Will Turn You Into A Pervert

Daily Star toots horn about “ogling perv” gamers.

Ban this sick filth! This week’s tinfoil hat wearing shenanigans comes from the Daily Star, who reckon that gamers buying the Modern Warfare 2Prestige Pack (you know, the one that’s insanely priced with thegoggles) are only doing so for ’stealth dogging’ and ’spy on gaycruising spots’.

Apparently the negative tabloid news piececlaims that obtaining the special edition game with pack-in NightVision Goggles will transform “geeky computer game fans” into an “armyof ogling pervs”. How ironic.

The newspaper even gets ‘gamewriter’ Rob Watson to say “I shudder to think of someone who may have ahard time with reality anyway donning these goggles for real mischief -or even worse”.

The funny thing is where exactly the ’stealthdogging’ and ‘gay cruising spy’ claims come from. Two separate,tongue-in-cheek comments made on computer game sites.

Onestatement from VG247 says “[The goggles are] good enough for stealthdogging/cruising and I think that’s all anyone really cares about”,while a post on PS3Attitude declares “you can put these bad boys on andbecome the Peeping Tom you’ve always wanted to be”.

Ah, theInternet. Glorious in its anonymity and misinterpretation of humour. Wewonder if print will really ever ‘get it’ at this rate.

Night Vision Goggles And The Different Generations

Date: 30 Sep 2009 Comments: 1

Night vision goggles allow you to clearly see objects in the dark or at night, even at distances of up to several hundred yards. Night vision devices were first introduced during the second world war and reflected a major scientific breakthrough. The goggles available  today use highly advanced technology, much of which was previously only available to the military and enables these units to take available light and intensify it toallow clear night time vision.

Night vision devices are classified into generations. Devices  range from one to three with increasing sensitivity and better resolution as  standard features the number increases.  Devices classified as generation three meet military specifications but are more expensive. They fall into three main categories but these will all have sub categories and are usually identified by the generations number from one to three.

Generation one: Although first introduced in the second world war it was in the Vietnam conflict that the first “passive infrared” night vision devices were developed, these tended to  be very large. These early Gen1 devices needed a cloudless night and a full moon to work. Modern day Gen1+ products, though much smaller, much brighter and much more reliable, are essentially the direct descendants of that 1960’s technology. Newer Generation 1 devices do offer increased performance from there older predecessors. Generation 1 units use an S-20 photocathode and electrostatic inversion to achieve thier image results. They are able to  offer substantial resolution toward the middle of the image tube, but the edges may be blurred. Gen1 devices are relatively inexpensive and are a good introduction to the night vision enthusiast.

Generation 2:  This generation were developed through the 1980’s. The image tubes in these units boosted their sensitivity with the introduction of a micro-channel plate . Not only doubling the systems light amplification the new Gen2 and Gen2+  had  a 50% better viewing clarity. These devices provide good performance in low light levels with lowdistortion. Generation 2 night vision goggles  amplify light by 20,000to 30,000 times, making them far more effective in low light conditionsthan the 1st generation. Generation 2 tubes have a life expectancy frombetween  2,500 hours to 4000 hours.

Generation 3: Gen3 night vision goggles represent the most current and up to date technology. Generation3 is the highest performance image intensifier tubetechnology available to date.Notonly do these gen 3 devices have the micro channel plates found on Gen2units the Gen3 devices jumped ahead in the technology stakes again withthe addition of a Gallinium Arsenide (GaAs) photo cathode. The additionof  this exotic element results in the  very best performancespecifications. Put plainly – it really can turn night into day. Gen3 night vision goggles offer the greatest depth of features, these include intuitive user controls, fully automatic image tube protection, rapid flash recovery facility and many on-screen indicators.Gen3 offers greater clarity but is usually more expensive than Gen2. Generation 2 night vision works well in most situations while Generation 3 will achieve high performance in all conditions.

Night vision  devices and in particular  night vision goggles are one of the topchoices of military and law enforcement agencies across the UnitedStates. Goggles and Binoculars make the most sense for surveillance andobservation operations because the two eyepieces reduce the amount ofstrain on the eyes. The goggles can be hat mounted thus allowing thewearer the freedom of thier hands. Night vision optics come in avariety of different styles.  Night vision devices have become verypopular over the past five to ten years using an electro opticalimaging device which is able to detect both visible and near infraredenergy sources and then is able to intensify these energy sourcesfurther in order to provide a visible image for viewing at night.
